Who We Are
Jamaica Plain Community Centers (comprised of Curtis Hall and Hennigan) is a non-profit, community-based agency, dedicated to serving the residents of Jamaica Plain’s neighborhoods. Jamaica Plain Community Centers mission is to provide a variety of affordable and accessible programs in safe community settings.
What We Do
The Friendship Before School and After School Tutoring Programs are licensed through the Department of Early Education and Care. Both programs cater to school-aged youth--5 to 12 years of age. We offer academic, recreational, and social-emotional support to youth in Jamaica Plain and surrounding neighborhoods. We are seeking partnerships with local universities to assist our students in core subjects: math, English Language Arts, and Science. We would like for our youth to be mentored and tutored by young adults that are amid the path of academic success and global citizenship.
