New Academy Estates CLC

New Academy Estates CLC is dedicated to advancing the well-being of individuals and families and to promoting the diversity and vibrancy of the Roxbury community. We do this by providing healthy, affordable homes; offering programs designed to enrich, educate and inspire; and engaging our residents.

Housed inside of our community center we run an After-School Drop In Program. Youth residents and community youth are welcomed. Youth are from ages 6-18. Student tasks are very self-directed and based on the interests of the student. Students work in the Community Center, located in New Academy Estates Residences. Some choose to work in the after school program, assisting with homework, but also having productive fun-time, like using computers, playing games, making art, and going to the park with children. There is a lot of room for students to utilize their own talents by providing music lessons, or teaching cooking classes. Students also work with adults and elders, volunteering in computer classes, or ESL classes. Students also create classes or projects that interest them.
