The Newton Senior Center has a Friendly Visitor Program. Volunteers make weekly calls or visits to isolated seniors to provide companionship. Volunteers are matched, considering interests and personalities. Volunteers will have training and supervision through Friendship Works, an agency that has decades of experience matching Friendly Visitors. One year commitment required.
